Before & After Treatment
Before your procedure our doctors or nurses will create tailored treatment for you and your personal needs. We recommend avoiding smoking and consuming alcohol as this can dehydrate the skin. Avoid consuming green and ginger tea, fish oils and supplements, chilli, garlic and krill prior to your treatment as well as taking aspirin based products.
This procedure takes approximately an hour to complete and afterwards you will have minimal recovery time. After your treatment, ice the treated area 4-5 times a day to reduce swelling and bruising, rest for a full day after the treatment and rest your facial movements. Our doctors will organise a post-treatment plan for your pain killers. It is recommended that you eat to avoid nausea and that you focus on drinking liquids.

What does the treatment involve?
Thread lifting involves the insertion of small dissolvable sutures under the dermis which attach to the skin. These threads are then pulled by our doctors to lift and shape the face, and avoid signs of ageing. The treatment will be performed under local anaesthesia.
Is this treatment painful?
This treatment is known to be relatively painless with patients feeling a slight ‘twinge’ under the skin rather than any pain. Over the patients healing process they will find their skin will improve in tone and firmness.
Are there any side effects?
The side effects of thread lifting are minor pain and bruising as well as infection in rare cases. Our doctors will discuss all of the side effects of your procedure before it is completed.
How long will the treatment last for?
The procedure takes approximately an hour to complete and thread lifts will last from 6-12 months.
Is there any downtime?
The thread lifting procedure has no downtime required and will leave you with natural looking results.
How fast will I see results after the treatment?
Results will show immediately after the procedure however they will improve for a few weeks afterwards. The procedure is known to last from 1-3 years and will depend on various factors of the procedure.
