Mint Thread Lifting

MINT thread lifting is a non-surgical alternative to a face lift, that lifts and tightens the skin without incisions.

The treatment uses small dissolvable sutures with barbs to grab your skin and then lift it to the desired placement. Small needles insert these MINT threads under the dermis and the threads are then left under the skin to dissolve over 6-12 months. This procedure begins the skin’s healing process, which increases the production of collagen and elastin to ‘heal’ the treatment area, and leaves patients with a youthful appearance.

Thread lifting can be used to treat areas such as:

  • Jawline and Jowls
  • Forehead and brow Line
  • Under-eyes
  • Neck
  • Upper and lower cheeks
  • Nose to mouth lines
  • Marionette lines

Before & After Treatment

Before your procedure our doctors or nurses will create tailored treatment for you and your personal needs. We recommend avoiding smoking and consuming alcohol as this can dehydrate the skin. Avoid consuming green and ginger tea, fish oils and supplements, chilli, garlic and krill prior to your treatment as well as taking aspirin based products.

This procedure takes approximately an hour to complete and afterwards you will have minimal recovery time. After your treatment, ice the treated area 4-5 times a day to reduce swelling and bruising, rest for a full day after the treatment and rest your facial movements. Our doctors will organise a post-treatment plan for your pain killers. It is recommended that you eat to avoid nausea and that you focus on drinking liquids.
