Emtone Perth

Emtone is a non-invasive treatment with no downtime, targeting areas of the body where cellulite occurs.

Dr Gina Messiha and Dr Jessica Wang are excited to be at the forefront once again by being the first clinic in Perth, WA, to bring across the BTL Emtone Cellulite Reduction treatment.

Emtone is a non-invasive treatment with no downtime, targeting areas of the body where cellulite occurs. This treatment is used to reduce the appearance of stubborn and hard-to-shift cellulite, e.g. upper arms, abdomen, love handles, inner thighs, front thighs, back thighs, and buttocks. Clinical studies have also demonstrated Emtone’s efficacy in treating skin laxity. Emtone combines thermal Monopolar Radiofrequency and Targeted Pressure Energy.

This combination affects connective tissues that lead to cellulite, resulting in increased collagen and elastin production to effectively address all significant contributing factors to cellulite and smooth the dimpling appearance.

Cost of Emtone in Perth

Several factors can influence the cost of Emtone treatments, and it is essential to consider them before deciding on the treatment. The expertise and credentials of your doctor or clinician are vital in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of your treatment, but this means the cost can be higher, although it is well worth it.

Cellulite can appear anywhere on the body, the most common areas being the thighs, buttocks, abdomen, and upper arms. Addressing multiple treatment areas or more significant areas will affect the price. Patients should start with a package of four treatments to get the best possible results, which will also influence the cost of your Emtone treatments. Maintenance sessions may also be required at longer intervals to help support continued results. During a consultation, your clinician will assess your concerns and recommend a treatment plan that encompasses the amount and extent of Emtone treatments needed to procedure your desired aesthetic. All these factors are crucial in determining the cost of your Emtone treatments.

The total treatment time depends on the area being treated and the amount of filler being used. Anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes can be expected, but the time can be estimated during your consultation.

Prepping for your treatment

To ensure lasting and effective results, your clinician will recommend you do the following before your Emtone session:

  • Maintain hydration. This is vital for optimal results and comfort, so ensure you drink plenty of water a couple of days before your treatment. It also helps the lymphatic system rid your body of waste.
  • Avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, which can negatively impact your results.
  • Ensure you manage a healthy diet and active lifestyle.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing to your session.

Recovery and aftercare

Immediately following your treatment, you may have some mild, temporary redness in the treated area, which may remain warm for roughly one hour afterwards. Although there is no downtime, some patients may experience very rare side effects such as mild bruising, prolonged redness, and swelling.

Patients will need to follow their aftercare plan, which will include:

  • Continue maintaining hydration for several days afterwards to support your body’s healing.
  • Avoid massages of the treated area for 24 hours.
  • Avoid excessive heat, including saunas and steam rooms.
  • Keep maintaining a healthy lifestyle after your complete course of treatments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the treatment painful?

Emtone is a well-tolerated procedure that requires no anaesthesia. Emtone treatment is well tolerated and feels like a hot stone massage with a tapping sensation. During treatment, the Emtone handpiece glides over the skin with the help of a conductive and moisturising lotion. The continual, circular movement of the Emtone handpiece and internal safety mechanisms ensures that no area of skin becomes too hot or uncomfortable.

Is there any downtime associated?

There is no downtime associated with the procedure whatsoever. You can resume total physical activity immediately following treatment, and your skin can typically be pink for an hour or two.

What is the treatment time?

Treatment of a single area takes approximately 10 – 15 minutes, and we recommend a series of four treatments over two to four weeks for best results.

Is it dependent on skin and body types?

There are no BMI or skin type restrictions.

When will I notice results following the Emtone treatment?

The results are not immediate because Emtone stimulates new collagen growth and improves local tissue circulation. Typically, results from Emtone are seen within weeks to months, although some patients express pleasing improvements even sooner.

How long do the results last?

Emtone visibly improves cellulite and skin textural changes such as skin laxity. The results are typically not permanent and last for around 3-12 months. We recommend returning for another treatment within that range to maintain the results.

What is the difference between Emtone and Emsculpt?

Emsculpt, another non-invasive treatment created by BTL, which involves body sculpting and muscle toning, is often confused with Emtone. Emsculpt and the more recent Emsculpt Neo devices tone muscles by producing fast contractions with electromagnetic energy, burning fat in the process.

Emtone tackles the fundamental reasons for cellulite dimpling. In addition to smaller areas like the upper arms, thighs, and calves, Emsculpt may tone the muscles in the tummy and buttocks. These two procedures can work very well together if you want less cellulite and smooth, firm, and effectively toned skin. At Ocean Cosmetics, we offer both Emtone and Emsulpt treatments.
