Cosmelan Peel

As the world’s leading professional depigmentation treatment, the cosmelan peel significantly reduces freckles, age spots and pigmentation by utilising a powerful two phased approach.

The first in-clinic treatment deactivates a critical enzyme in the production of melanin responsible for the formation of dark spots. Secondly, is the continued application of cosmelan products from home, utilising a proprietary blend of bleaching agents and botanical ingredients to eliminate existing excess pigment deposits.

This breakthrough treatment is clinically proven to eliminate hyperpigmentation with it’s intensive corrective effect on skin discoloration and regulation of melanin overproduction, inhibiting and controlling the appearance of new dark spots. End results of this treatment delivers a unified skin tone and enhanced skin luminosity without the use of lasers.

The cosmelan peel is compatible with all skin types and colours and can be used all year round due to its high safety margin.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the treatment involve?

A Cosmelan peel is a powerful depigmentation treatment that utilises a powerful two phased approach. It involves an in-clinic treatment that deactivates a critical enzyme in the production of melanin responsible for the formation of dark spots. The second phase, is a non-negotiable home skincare regime that helps to maintain the results achieved with the cosmelan treatment, by preventing the appearance of new dark spots and areas of hyperpigmentation. A further follow up visit is also required to review client progress.

Are there any side effects?

Depending on your skin type, moderate erythema (redness) may appear along with minor dryness and flaking. Mild to moderate peeling & swelling can be experienced for up to one week.

How long will it take to see the results after the treatment?

Depending on your skin condition, generally within a week clients will see skin blemishes begin to fade significantly. After a couple of weeks, the skin will take on a dramatically brighter, healthier glow with a luminous complexion shining through. These results will continue to improve over the following weeks when the full benefits of a cosmelan peel can be seen.

Is there any downtime?

The cosmelan procedure is an intensive resurfacing treatment that provides up to 10-12 days of downtime. For the first 3 days post treatment the skin will be red, swollen and warm and then peeling will start. Peeling and dryness can be expected for up to 7-10 days.
