Skin Boosters Perth

Skin boosters are an excellent non-surgical option for facial rejuvenation and skin restoration offered at our Perth clinic.

These revolutionary treatments work to improve the skin’s hydration and balance. Similar to dermal fillers, which contain a naturally occurring substance in our skin known as hyaluronic acid, skin boosters maintain skin hydration by binding closely with water to support vital collagen and elastin. These work together to maintain the integrity and suppleness of your skin to boost its appearance and texture. Skin boosters differ from dermal fillers in that they do not specifically add volume or structure to the skin. Boosters take a more subtle approach to improve the overall skin balance and ‘boost’ the appearance of the skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the treatment involve?

Skin Boosters are injections administered into the mid to deep dermis in the underlying layer of the skin, e.g., face or hands. This treatment may involve up to three injection sessions to gradually restore the skin’s elasticity and smoothness. The process works to increase firmness, reduce fine lines and help improve imperfections such as mild acne scars. Although the product contains an anaesthetic, you may request a topical numbing cream before the treatment.

Are there any side effects?

Some initial mild swelling, redness, and possible bruising may occur at the injection sites, which generally resolve over the next few days.

How long will it take to see results after the treatment?

The first noticeable results will be visible within a few days of the treatment due to the hyaluronic acid’s quick hydration. Over the next few weeks, the skin will continue to improve as new collagen and elastin are laid down, producing enhanced structure and dermal thickness. As skin boosters promote cell renewal and increase collagen formation deep under the skin, the effects of your skin boosting treatment will continue to get better over time.

How long does the treatment take?

Each treatment session usually takes around 15 – 20 minutes.

How long do skin boosters last?

Your new natural and refreshed look to your skin can last anywhere from six to twelve months. Although results are noticeable after the first treatment, a course of three is advised for the best results in terms of skin texture, integrity, and softness. It is recommended to have a treatment every three to four weeks, followed by a maintenance treatment after six months.

Is there any downtime?

Possibly one to two days, depending on personal recovery and bruising.

Who is it suitable for?

Most patients, except for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, can receive skin boosters. It is perfect for individuals who wish to enhance their skin quality, moisture, and texture. However, wrinkles and fine lines are not intended to be filled in by skin boosters. They help the skin stay hydrated and encourage the production of new collagen and elastin. Patients will notice that their skin is more firm, with an improved texture and a glowing radiance.

When and where can beauty boosters be used?

Skin boosters can be used as a primary treatment to help prevent cutaneous ageing or as a supplement to other treatments. It works wonders to hydrate and gives your skin a fresh glow on special occasions. Skin boosters can be administered around the face, neck, decolletage, and back of hands.
