Before & After Skincare
- Avoid exercise, swimming, hot showers or any heat inducing activities 48 hours post treatment and ensure you keep the treated area clean.
- Avoid applying make-up directly after treatment. Mineral make-up can be worn the day following treatment, however it’s best to wait 48 hours.
- SPF 50 must be worn daily especially over 4 weeks post treatment.
- Do not rub, scratch or pick at your skin 5-7 days post treatment.
- A normal skin care regimen can be resumed once the skin has completely healed (generally 1 week following your treatment).

What is the Intensif treatment for?
The Intensif treatment provides effective dermal skin remodelling. This treatment revives and rejuvenates the natural production of new collagen and elastin.
Results from the Intensif treatment may be skin tightening, wrinkle reduction and reducing the appearance of acne scarring.
What does the Intensif appointment involve?
We always see our patients for a consultation before treatment. You can ask us questions and chat to us about any concerns. We want to ensure that Intensif is the right treatment for you.
Before we start the treatment, we cleanse the skin and apply a numbing cream to the area.
Numbing cream is applied to the desired area for approximately an hour.
Once numb, we sterilise and cleanse your skin to start the treatment. A stamping technique is used on the surface of the skin, administering the small needles with radio frequency to inhibit the intensity of the treatment.

Treatment time: 30 mins
Total appointment time: 1 hour 45 mins
Are there any side effects?
With each treatment there is always a small risk of a side effect. During your consultation appointment, we will go through any possible side effects and determine whether the Intensif treatment is right for you. Following the treatment aftercare form correctly will always help to prevent any after treatment side effects.
How long will it take to see the results after treatment?
Results are best seen after the next skin cell turnover. This typically takes around 28 days. Having three treatments a month apart is an ideal schedule to see optimal results.
How long does the treatment last?
You will notice a difference in your skin for around six – 12 months. New layers of skin are always coming to the surface throughout the skin cell turnover phases, so it is essential to keep up the treatment when possible to keep the deeper layers in good condition.
Is there any downtime?
We recommend having two to three days of downtime. It’s a good idea to have this treatment before a weekend or long weekend! During the days immediately after the treatment, you may experience redness and dryness on the area. Redness will subside after two to three days but you may feel slight dryness and a tight sensation for about four to five days.
