Endymed 3DEEP FSR

FSR stands for Fractional Skin Resurfacing. This treatment starts with micro-fractional ablation for resurfacing to improve skin tone, pigmentation and texture. At Ocean Cosmetics, we combine FSR with radio frequency deep dermal heating for 3DEEP Skin Tightening.

Tiny fractionated injuries are made to parts of the skin. Afterwards, your skin goes into a healing process to rejuvenate and resurface the lightly damaged tissue. These controlled mini-injuries allow for safe and quick healing, in turn causing new collagen production and newer younger looking tissue, improving scarring, pigmentation and aging concerns.

After undergoing an in-depth consultation with one of our therapists, we apply a topical numbing cream to the area of treatment.

The duration for an FSR treatment is generally around half an hour. It is a very tolerable treatment with only some possible minor pinching discomfort over bony areas of the face where the skin may be thinner.

You may experience mild to moderate redness immediately afterwards and it may remain for a few days. A sensation similar to the feeling of sunburn may last from one to two days. This is the expected side effect for most patients.

Your skin may feel rough or dry at first. This usually is only noticeable to the patient and may only be apparent at first until the epidermis renews.

In darker skin types, some mild darkening of old skin over the first few days may be apparent.

Your skin may take seven to 10 days to heal completely. After the healing process, you will notice an improvement in your skin tone with some reduction to epidermal pigmentation. New collagen production will start around a month after treatment. We recommend another two to five resurfacing treatments to generate significant improvement to the skin’s texture. You may notice improvements in areas such as scarring, lines and pores and to the general skin appearance.

Your appointment including numbing time will be approx 1.5 hours

The effects of the treatment can be long-lasting, improving skin appearance for long periods.

Some downtime is expected (see above for side effects), however, it is very minimal compared to other significant skin resurfacing and laser treatments.
