Your 30s are when it’s time to get serious, especially regarding your health and skincare. The right mix of experience and youth – travelling, career, relationships, and more will all contribute to the fantastic memories you’ll create during this time of your life. However, if you’re drinking, not exercising, and getting little sleep, these choices can impact the overall look of your skin. Cell turnover will begin slowing down, meaning that your face and skin may show signs of fatigue and ageing, but with the right products, routines and treatments, you can keep your skin looking fresh and youthful for longer.

Most common skin concerns for this age:

  • Hormonal Acne Scarring
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Pigmentation or brown spots
  • Dry, dehydrated skin
  • Redness or inflamed skin
  • Early signs of fine lines and wrinkles

5 Tips

To get that gorgeous glow!

thirty five tips img 30s - 8
  1. Get active! Look for skin care products containing active ingredients or antioxidants to fight environmental stress factors, such as vitamin C and AHAs. Ensure you chat with your skin therapist or professional first to find the right products for your skin type.
  2. Maintain a daily regimented skincare routine. Know what order to use your products (cleanse, serum, oils, moisturiser, etc.) and which products are for the AM or PM.
  3. Eye do! The skin around the eyes is so delicate it’s often the first area to show the signs of ageing. Find a good eye cream and apply it gently with your ring finger before you apply moisturiser.
  4. Supplement your skincare routine with good nutrition. Good skin starts from the inside out, so include lots of vitamin and antioxidant-rich foods in your daily meals.
  5. Book a yearly skin check-up! It’s essential to look after yourself and your skin, so by having your skin regularly checked by a professional, you’ll be able to catch anything before it becomes too severe.
